The deal is estimated at approx. 4.5 bn. USD (4 bn. EUR). This means that the previous agreement with Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) is no longer valid.
The joint company will be the leading electrical company in North America with an estimated annual turnover of approx. 17 bn. USD (15 bn. EUR).
The merger has yet to be approved by the various official agencies and Anixter’s shareholders; final completion is not expected before the 3rd quarter of 2020.
