E-car production grows by almost 70% in 2015
The Baden-Württemberg solar energy and hydrogen research centre (ZSW) has found substantial growth rates in e-mobility in its latest analysis.
According to the researchers’ surveys the number of e-cars around the world has almost doubled to a current total of about 1.3 million.
While China with over 200,000 new vehicles last year has recorded the biggest rise, the USA’s total of more than 400,000 e-vehicles remains the largest overall inventory.
With 55,250 e-cars Germany continues to lag behind nations such as Japan, the Netherlands, Norway and France.
