Export expectations rise

German industry is expecting exports to rise, with the stable state of the economy in the United States....................

and the enormous devaluation of the euro playing the decisive role.

According to the IFO’s president Sinn exports are the most important pillar of the German economy.

In practically all sectors export expectations have risen, with companies in machine building in particular entering the new year with high hopes. There has also been an increase in new orders from abroad from the metal and pharmaceutical industries.
