GRAINGER appoints new boss

Jim Ryan, Grainger’s long-serving president and CEO is retiring. His successor as of 1st October will be.......

D. G. Macpherson, at the moment still COO and thus then also a member of the supervisory board. Macpherson came to Grainger from the Boston Consulting Group in 2008, having previously already worked in the team for Grainger for 6 years.

Ryan was at Grainger for practically 44 years, 8 of them as the top boss. Under his chairmanship the turnover rose from USD 5.9 bn (EUR 5.3 bn) in 2008 to USD 10 bn (EUR 9 bn) in 2015.
