New CEO at Rexel

Rexel announced that Patrick Berard will retire as Chief Executive Officer on September 1, 2021. He will be replaced by Guillaume Texier, who will join the company after several management positions at Saint-Gobain. However, Berard will stay until March 1, 2022 to ensure a smooth handover.

Berard, who joined Rexel in 2003, has been the Group's CEO since 2016. Under his leadership, Rexel has undergone a profound change, from an electrical distributor to one of the most important service providers in energy management.

Today Rexel has a network of more than 1,900 branches in 25 countries with more than 24,000 employees. Consolidated sales in 2020 amounted to 12.6 billion Euros.

The 47-year-old Guillaume Texier joined Saint-Gobain in 2005, where he held various management positions. Since January 1, 2019, he has been Senior Vice President and CEO Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Prior to joining Saint-Gobain, Texier held various senior positions within the French government, including adviser to the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Industry.
