New generation at Lapp

With effect from 21st January 2015 Siegbert Lapp has taken over the chairmanship of the supervisory board at Lapp Holding from the founder of the company Mrs.Ursula Ida Lapp, who has been appointed honorary chairman.

The new innovation and technology director, and thus the successor of Siegbert Lapp, is Georg Stawowy, who has been responsible for innovation and technology in the company since 2013 in the position of Chief Technical Officer.

Ursula Ida Lapp has moulded the company since its foundation in 1959. When the founder of the firm Oskar Lapp died in 1987, Mrs.Lapp took over the running of the company with her sons Siegbert and Andreas. Under her management globalization was continued. Today the Lapp group is one of the leading suppliers of cable and fastenings technology.

In the 2012/13 business year the company generated a consolidated turnover of EUR 830 m. The company employs around 3,200 people all over the world, owns 18 manufacturing locations, more than 40 sales outlets and cooperates with about 100 agencies abroad.
