Philips: Lighting sector now to be listed after all

In January the company had given in to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the US (CFIUS) and called off the sale of Philips Lighting........

to the Chinese consortium Go Scale Capital, and now it has been decided at company headquarters to launch it on the stock market in Amsterdam. However, the timing and price have not yet been fixed.

At first 25% of the shares are being offered, and the rest will follow over several years. In dividends 40 – 50% of the profits are being distributed, and a first dividend is expected in 2017, based on the results of the year 2016.

In future Philips will concentrate on its health and medicine business.
