Rittal closes 4 factories

As has been reported in the local press, by the end of 2018 Rittal is to have closed its works in.............

Herborn, Burbach, Eschenburg-Wissenbach and Rennerod, affecting approx. 800 employees. The production of the four works is to be transferred, mainly to Haiger as well as to Hof and Rittershausen.

In Haiger Rittal in 2014 had put a high-bay warehouse costing EUR 40 m into operation and now a new factory is also to be built there costing an estimated EUR 140 m.

All these upcoming measures are planned by Rittal as preparation for Industry 4.0.

Rittal, founded in 1961 in the Hessian town of Herborn, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers in the enclosures and power distribution sector and employs over 10,000 people.
