Weaker euro makes exports climb to record level

In March 2015 goods to the value of EUR 107.5 bn were exported from Germany and goods to the value of EUR 84.5 bn imported.

For both exports and imports respectively these were the highest monthly value measured.

As the Federal Bureau of Statistics further reports on the basis of preliminary results, this means that exports were 12.4% higher and imports 7.1% higher in March 2015 than in March 2014.
