Würth achieves over EUR 10 bn turnover for the first time

Target achieved! According to its preliminary corporate results the Würth Group has recorded a turnover of EUR 10.12 bn in 2014 (prior year: EUR 9.75 bn), thus........

cracking the EUR 10 bn mark for the first time.

In doing so it managed to make increases in all regions, and even in Southern Europe things went better again. In Germany Würth made gains of 4.1%. Outside of Europe North America is a special highlight, with turnover there rising by 8.6%.

Earnings are likely to be about EUR 500 m in 2014 according to provisional calculations (prior year: EUR 445 m), which would represent an increase of 12.4%.

An estimate of profits has not yet been published. The group now employs more than 66,000 people all over the world.

The Allied Companies – companies of the group on the periphery of the core business or operating in a variety of business segments – now account for about 40% of the Würth Group’s turnover. These also include the electrical wholesale trade, on which, however, no detailed information has been given.
