Convincing in design and precision - that promises the new Berker R.8. Because with its frame height of only three millimeters on the wall, the R.8 is one of the flattest switch ranges on the market. Selected materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, plastic and glass give the R.8 a particularly elegant appearance. In the version made of real glass, the new R.8 is even the slimmest switch currently available.

But also from a technical point of view, the new development from Berker is convincing. Cavity wall mounting is particularly simple: Here, the gray box is simply placed in a rectangular cutout and fastened there in the same way as conventional hollow wall boxes. Then the inserts are used and the installation is completed with the mounting of rockers / center pieces and frame.

As the majority of the switch is flush-mounted due to the almost flush mounting, Berker offers the installation principle of the so-called can-in-box mounting for installation in masonry and masonry walls. The functionality is as simple as it is efficient: First, a larger red flush-mounted box is anchored in the masonry in a previously installed opening. Subsequently, a smaller gray hollow wall box can be accurately inserted into the red box. For example, the can-in-box mounting compensates for the installation level, allowing for the use of ultra-flat frames. But even sensitive materials such as glass can be installed so shatterproof.

Regarding the variety of functions, the new R.8 also leaves nothing to be desired: its 1 to 4-fold frames can be combined with all inserts of the Berker switch ranges Berker R.1 and Berker R.3. In total, more than 150 switch and socket variants with motion detectors, blind switches, heating controllers and KNX push-button sensors as well as with power and data sockets or loudspeaker connections are possible. Rockers and socket inserts are available in gloss black and polar white gloss.
