Sonepar, undoubtedly the No.1 in the global electrical wholesaling business, announced the sales figures for the past year. A total of EUR 23 bn was turned over with 45,000 people (48,000 in 2019) in 2,800 branches (3,000 branches in 2019) in 40 countries. Sonepar has an outstanding position in almost every country in which it operates. But Corona also caused a slight drop in sales; in the previous year it was EUR 24 bn, a slight loss of 4.2%.

The Würth Group's total revenue in 2018 increased by 7.1%

The Würth Group's total revenue in 2018 increased by 7.1% to 13.6 bn EUR (previously 12.7 bn EUR). The operating result increased from 780 m EUR to 870 m EUR, ie. an increase of 11.5%.

The electrical wholesale business (which belongs to the Allied Companies) reached 1.67 bn EUR, an increase of a remarkable 12.9%. 4,478 people are employed in this segment.

Giuseppe "Peppino" Sacchi died on 2 January 2018 at the age of 88 years.

His company, which he founded in Barzano in 1957, is today one of the most important electrical wholesalers in Italy.

It includes 45 branches with IMEP, which also belongs to Sacchi, and had a turnover of approximately EUR 500 m.

The company is now headed by his wife and his two sons. Since February 2017, the Sacchi Group belongs to Sonepar.

The German Federal Electrical Wholesale Association (VEG) elected a new chairman on 2nd November 2015.

His predecessor, Th. Wätzel, has laid down his office after the statutory four year period: With a large majority H. Heckle, the managing director of Sonepar Deutschland, was appointed as his successor, flanked by the re-elected board members M. Bruder, R.Rommel, U. Schaffitzel and Th. Wätzel.

U. Liedtke, Th. Moczigemba, Dr. C. Suckrow and K. Tworuschka were newly appointed to the board.

Dr. Hans Henning remains unchanged the chief managing director of VEG.

Elfetex, the Czech branch of the Würth Electrical Wholesale Group (W.EG), has with effect from 1.6.2015 taken over the electrical wholesaler ACword in T?inec,............

a regional market leader with around 25 employees and a turnover of approx. EUR 5 m.

Elfetex is one of the largest wholesalers in the Czech Republic with 22 branches and 240 employees.

With this latest acquisition it is hoped to be able to build up the company’s total turnover in the Czech Republic to over EUR 50 m in 2015.

Würth made an electrical wholesale turnover of EUR 1,010 m for the first time in 2014, EUR 895 m of which was generated in Germany.

The consolidated turnover of the Würth Group amounted to EUR 10.12 bn last year.

of SEK 21.78 bn (EUR 2.34 bn) in its 2014 business year, 6.6% more than the prior year’s figure of SEK 20.44 bn/EUR 2.19 bn.

Earnings before interest, taxes and amortization (EBITA) fell slightly in comparison with 2013, by 1.4% to SEK 1.76 bn (EUR 0.19 bn).

Ahlsell belongs to the private investment company CVC Capital Partners and is affiliated to the international purchasing association Imelco.

In the 1st quarter 2015 Ahlsell made a turnover of SEK 5,383 m (EUR 578 m),  3.8% more than in the comaprable period of last year (SEK 5,188 m / EUR 557 m.).
