The Light + Building trade fair, which was originally supposed to take place in Frankfurt from March 8 to 13, 2020, is now being postponed to mid / end of September this year due to the spread of the corona virus in Europe.

The international trade fair for lighting and building technology takes place every two years and since most of the visitors and exhibitors come from Germany, China and Italy; it has been decided to cancel the fair at short notice and to reschedule it.

The "Light + Building” was once again a great success: 2,714 exhibitors (2016: 2,626) from 55 countries presented their new .........

products, bringing together more than 220,000 trade visitors (2016: 216,610) from 177 countries to the Frankfurt exhibition grounds.
The electrical products (except light) were mainly located in Hall 8 and many of the exhibitors are already looking forward to move to the new Hall 12 at the next L + B in 2020, hoping to get more floor space there.

The new hall 12 is currently being completed and put into operation for the first time at the Automechanika trade fair in September 2018. Compared to the current Hall 8, the new Hall 12 has 33,600 m² and is just 11% larger, so having more exhibition space will be difficult.
