Rexel announced that Patrick Berard will retire as Chief Executive Officer on September 1, 2021. He will be replaced by Guillaume Texier, who will join the company after several management positions at Saint-Gobain. However, Berard will stay until March 1, 2022 to ensure a smooth handover.

Berard, who joined Rexel in 2003, has been the Group's CEO since 2016. Under his leadership, Rexel has undergone a profound change, from an electrical distributor to one of the most important service providers in energy management.

Today Rexel has a network of more than 1,900 branches in 25 countries with more than 24,000 employees. Consolidated sales in 2020 amounted to 12.6 billion Euros.

The 47-year-old Guillaume Texier joined Saint-Gobain in 2005, where he held various management positions. Since January 1, 2019, he has been Senior Vice President and CEO Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Prior to joining Saint-Gobain, Texier held various senior positions within the French government, including adviser to the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Industry.

The ABB Board of Directors has unanimously appointed Björn Rosengren (60),.....

The ABB Board of Directors has unanimously appointed Björn Rosengren (60), a Swedish citizen, as the new CEO. Rosengren will join ABB on February 1, 2020, succeeding Peter Voser on March 1, 2020; thereafter Voser will resume his position with ABB as Chairman of the Board.

Rosengren comes from Sandvik, where he served as CEO since 2015, before that he was with Wärtsilä Corp. and 13 years with Atlas Copco, i.e. he is a very experienced industrial manager whom ABB needs in the next phase of its transformation.

Jacob Tarn was appointed CEO of the lighting specialist Ledvance (formerly Osram) on February 1st. Dr. Tarn will manage the company from its headquarters in Garching.

Dr.Tarn comes from Samsung Electronics and he is a specialist with 30 years of international experience in the business.

For Tim Yun Chen, chairman of Ledvance, Tarn is undoubtedly the ideal candidate to lead Ledvance into a new era of success.

Rüdiger Tibbe, who temporarily held the role of CEO, will continue his work as Chief Transformation Officer at Ledvance and will be responsible for the operational implementation of the transformation.
